Hi.... I just wanted to say hi since I am new here!
Unfortunatly I just lost my first Oscar last weekend. I had been batteling HITH and Gill disease for quite a few months and my poor Walter finally went to fishy heaven. I was so sad, and made my DH hold a grave side funeral for him.
It was all becuase of my own ignorance with poor water conditions. I have since upgraded my tank from a 40 gallon to a 54 gallon bow front tank and have cycled my water. Currently in the tank I have a pleco, a pictus catfish, 2 small clown loaches and some zebra danios. In a couple weeks I think I will be ready to try again with a new tigar oscar.
The danios are only in there to help cycle the tank and give my new oscar some fun food.
Cruel I know! Anyway... I have already learned so much from these boards and I am so happy to be here!
