Hi, I'm Jennifer From SC. Just wanted to write and say hello. I just recently, about 2 months ago, bought an Oscar. I started off with a 20 gal. tank b/c i wasn't told I needed a bigger one. Now my oscar has grown. I am going to buy a 55 Gal this weekend. but i dont want my fish to die during the switch. I'm not even sure how to switch it b/c i know i can't just move him like that.
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated!

firstly welcome to the site jennifer.

now when you get your new tank. all you have to do is fill it with water, declorinate it, move your filter from your existing tank to the new tank(also set up your new filter),make sure the water is at the proper temperature then put yopur oscar in it. since your using the established filter there is no need to cycle the new tank(assuming you have a cycled tank now).
i would check(water parameters) a few times a week to make sure there are no water problems that arise and after a couple weeks yoou can go back to your regular testing cycle.
