welcme to the site.

personally i have not raised convicts for feeders. imo its to much work and its just easier to get quality food be it pellets worms or crickets at the lfs than to raise my own feeders.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

agree with necromancer4.... instead of raising

Thanks I am still trying to find a good mix for feeding time. The guppies got to small fast, well and they are not breeding like I thought they would.

Welcome to the site Taker, Personally I have never used feeders for my Oscar's. I know its a natural way to feed them, but there is so much quality food out there to be had. Touch wood I have never had any disease in my Oscar tanks over the years and I put that down to good diet and clean water. I use Hikari cichlid gold pellets as a staple diet, with Bloodworm, earthworm, Crickets, Prawn or Mussel as treats. You could use Convict fry, but you would probably need three pairs, depending on how many and how big your Oscar's are.
180 UK gallon - Central American Cichlids
75 UK gallon - South American Cichlids
30 UK gallon - South American community
25 UK gallon - Hospital/ Quarantine Tank.

Welcome to the site.

I also concur with what has already been said, raising live fish is more trouble than it's worth when there are plenty of healthy foods available over the counter. Try crickets or mealworms, Oscar is absolutely adore those. A lot of pet shops sell these for snakes and spiders. You normally get over a week's supply for very little money
