Hey everybody. I'm new to owning tiger oscars. I've previously owned two red bellies, two silver and two sabertooth barracudas. My brother ended up taking them and I wanted something similar so I decided to try some oscars.. I picked up a 20 gallon tank and two babies. Obviously the tank is way small but it's only for a couple of months maybe until I get taxes back then I'm going to use this tank for a bunch of little tetras and stuff. My oscars seem to be extremely shy but they've only been in the tank for 48 hours so I assume that's expected. One of the fish seems to be stressed and still doesn't have all the color back yet he's just pretty much all black, the water tested fine according to petsmart, and he's not being bullied from what I can tell, but I'll give him another day or two, and next week I'll get him something to be able to hide in, right now I only have plants but I literally spent every dollar until I get paid again. I'm lookin forward to raising these guys and I came to the site to make sure I can get the help I need and hopefully return the favor eventually.
