Hello Everyone!

I just found this site doing some research about Oscar Fish! I guess I don't need to look any further because this site seems to have it all! It's amazing! I am 21/female/married. I just got rid of (adopted out) my tropical fish. I had 6 neon tetras, 7 black neon tetras, a blue ram, 2 guppies, and 3 zebra danios. I then went to a couple different pet stores to find some Oscars. I fell in love with Oscar fish when I worked at Petsmart. There was one there who was old and lived in a tank all by himself and I used to hand feed him every day. He was the cutest fish! I have an 80 gallon tank. And I bought 4 oscars.... now I am realizing that may be too many... what would be best for an 80 gallon. I plan to purchase a new tank within the next 3 years. Can they live together until then. Or should I find one a new home?

4 oscar in 80 gal tank is over-stock. eventually,
there will be water issue at oscar grows fast. with
proper care, oscar grow for an average of 1 inch per
month. can you imagine how constricted they are in 80
gal tank? filtration will become an issue too.

1 full grown oscar need at least 75 gal tank with few
small fish tank mate.

i agree with paul. in an 80 gallon tank one oscar and a couple of mid sized tankmates(max size 6 inches). you will also need some good filtration to go along with your tank.

hi people, fellow oscar lovers.... I have a 125gal tank with two albino tigers and two conviks and of course a pleco. ii got the convicts and there were four red bellied piranhas ( they died mysteriously after a recent routine water change).
