Hi guys i'm from Sydney Australia, i've been keeping oscars for about 9 months and visiting this site for about the same time if not longer to finding out all the info i need.

The Tank

Tank is 48 inches (long) x 24 inches (high) x 18 inches wide and holds 350 liters. I have Jebao 1500 lt/hr canister filter. With in a few months i will be adding a A fluval 405. But in the next week or 2 i will be adding a internal powerfilter to help with filtration and water circulation. I have siliconed in a rubber rock wall at the back of the tank, the substrate is fairly small gravel and the tank is decorated with one large pice of driftwood and a couple of smaller one and few small to medium rocks and skull decorations. I have 2 air pumps in the tank. There is a couple of fake plants which i leave in the tank cause its fun to watch the oscars try to destroy them.

The Fish

I have.....
2 x Tiger Oscars and they are about 9 inches, they were about 2 inches when i got them.
1 x Black Ghost Knife about 5 inches
1 x FeatherTail Catfish 6 inches
1 x Redtail Shark 3 inches
1 x Bristlenose Catfish

All the fish are happy and there is no signs of aggression, everyone gets on fine.

I change about 30/40% of the water each week using a gravel vac.

After i got my tank i did sum research on the net to find out how much it holds, i thought it holds 90 gal, but i was on a US web site but now i've looked around a bit more i've found out its more like 75 gal (uk) which is prob a bit small for all the fish i have according to this site. So i will be looking to upsize to 72x18x24 or even better 72x24x24 with in the first half of 2009.

So i would just like to say hi to everyone and any advice would be great and i hope i havent got things to wrong with the whole set up.

aside from the tank size everyting sounds good to me. i am surprised that you manged to get three red tail sharks to live together in your tank. i was always under the assumption that they would fight for territory (assuming more than one male).

as for your filtration if you do get a 150 gallon tank you will need to look to bigger fitration than a fluval 405 and a jebo cannister.

oh ya and welcome to the site.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

welcome aboard! looking forward inter-acting with you.
48 x 24 x 18 = 88 US gal size which can hold your stock
for a year while they are still juvinile but definitely need
an upgrade as your fish grows.
