I hope this is in the right spot.
Just under a year ago me and my girlfriend bought a little black and orange tiger Oscar. The first 2 months he lived in a 10 gallon tank in our dorm room. After a summer at the families house in a little bigger tank he was moved into a 55 gallon tank with a big pleco. He's been in there since the first of September and he's growing like wild fire. He's very temperamental yet very affectionate towards the two of us. It is amazing how when different people are in the house he really doesn't like it. We're familiar with Oscars due to my girlfriends dad having 2 large albino tiger Oscars in a 95 gallon tank but they are VERY different compared to our Oscar. We hope to learn a lot from this site.
