Hi my name is Natasha. I guess you guys will know me here as Oscarmommy. I have to Os for almost for a year now. To give you a little bit of a history. I had never owned an O before, my fiancé (John) wanted one, so we made little bit of research and decided to purchase two Os. At the beginning the Os where in hiding while they were getting use to us, and in a couple of weeks I was hand feeding them (I was really exited about that) Any ways, John decided that he waned to feed live fish, just so that they can have the thrill of chasing the feeding fish and he also thought that I was going to be some thing interesting to watch. I on the other hand I wasn’t thrill about it b/c I knew this could cause the fish to get sick, but he did it anyway, and sure enough a couple of weeks later one of the Os started having signs of HITH. We got the Hole in head guard and in a couple of days it was gone.
The Os have been doing well, until recently the same O that had the HITH is starting to have the signs again. We already started treatment, and hope everything goes well.
Right now the Os are bout 8" long and in a 65gl tank. we will upgrade soon, so don't worry
