Should I get a peacock eel?

I want to get a peacock eel my Oscars are about 6 in right now pet store has one about 3" was wondering if I should get one? I think they look pretty cool!

They generally do well in a cichlid tank, but with 2 Oscars and a pleco that I see in your sand thread... looking good btw... I would suggest not adding another fish, even an eel. There will come a time, and not too far away when your current fish will be adult size and space will be at a premium. A 6in Oscar could also make a quick snack of a 3in eel. Looks like a big earthworm to Oscar, yumyum!

Thanks that's what I was thinking too. But they just look so cool lol. I can always buy more minnows n watch the o's chase em around. I have 4 minnows in there they chase but rarely catch lol. Put some grass in the tank so hopefully that grows.

you can give it a try...
i had tried to mixed 5" jardini with a 4" long fin oscar... it did not last for 6 hours...
jardini was gone... too expensive snack for an oscar!
