hello here to introduce myself. i am new to the oscar fish. i got lucky enough and a friend gave me a 46 gallon bow front tank with 2 10 inch oscars in it. i know it sounds cruel but they are doing really well in there. just requires a water change every 5 days. but i like the afvice that can be found here and happy to be here thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum. I would advise you to do a water test. What kind of filtration has this tank got? Two large Oscars will produce a lot of waste, believe me. It's all very well saying they are fine, you need to test the water and see what it is doing. Fish can actually be stressed without showing any signs. Two fish of that size in a small tank will certainly pollute the water very quickly.

So when you get the chance, try and get these following test kits, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH. There are other test kits, however these are the most important ones you need at the moment.
