Hi, Names Nick
I have a 4 year old 10" Jack D and a newer 4" red O named Mickey Fin.
I have a 40 gallon tank running with a HOT magnum canister and 2 large Bio wheels hooked in. Also have a Penguin power head blowing bubbles through. The tank holds stable with weekly 25% water changes. I am working on a custom made 100 gallon plexi tank with sump. But was recently laid off and plans are on hold until I can afford to tackle it and still feed my family.
5 years ago I was the owner of two 5yr old 11" tigers which I adopted out to my grandparents who had more room than I did. They are still alive and kicking!(both the fish and my grandparents!!)
I am about to start farming earthworms again soon. They are a super easy hi protein food source that worked great in conjunction with shrimp and pellets.
With the worms all you need is a big rubermaid tub and whatever matter you choose to start with.. I used a mix of dead leaves sand and compost mix. Then add your spent coffee grounds and egg shells along with any organic matter you choose. I kept mine in the basement where it held at about 65-70* all year. You just need to sprinkle it with water to keep it moist and presto!

My wife is going to hate me for being here lol... I have a small problem with forums... Kinda addicting! I am very active in a few Nissan Frontier forums and reptile forums as well... I will try my best to be useful on here as well. Thanks again!

Sorry, but no.... Mickey Fin is the name of my favorite local watering hole... Have all of my favorite beers on tap... lol
