Hi thanks again for this great sites to express/share everything about oscar fish. I googled and found this website lately. I just couldn't stop myself from viewing the oscar care experiences posted by most of you every now and then and yeah I admit that I'm addicted to this hobby as well~!

I'm from Malaysia. I've seen many LFS selling oscars but the hobby doesn't seem to be as popular as I find it thru the web and I wondered?

About my tank setup:
Tank size - 70 US gallons dimensioned @48"x20"x17".
Fish - 2.8" albino red oscar with 2 silver dollars.
Filtration -
SunSun canister HW-303A filters @1400 l/h,
Ejet canister 3388 filters @1200 l/h,
Dophin UV-007 (9 Watt) UV light filter,
Dolphin F1200 internal filter
Diet - Hikari Bio-Gold mini pellets, Freeze-dried shrimps, mealworm (much smaller type which I have no idea what to name it).

I got him 18th Sept 2009 which sized at +-2". I think the growth rate is incredibly fast!
