I think its about time to introduce myself. My name's Skylar, I'm 17, female, and currently a freshmen in studying fashion design, an odd combination for a oscar/fish lover. I'm only 1.5 hours away from home so this summer I plan on setting up a 120-150g aquarium to put 2 oscars and maybe some takemates like a pleco. I haven't looked too much into it yet.
Currently I have a 5g with some guppies in my dorm room which will be taken down and put in a 20g I have at home with currently 1 guppy (yes, one 2 inch fish for a 20g, lol) as well as adding 2 angelfish. The 5g will be replaced with a 12g saltwater that will house 2 clownfish and a gobby. I'd also love to own a 55g saltwater lionfish tank but that won't come until after the oscars and if my parents don't put a cap on the number of tanks allowed in their house...I can't wait till I have a place to keep all my fishtanks.
