hi all!
registered up to post in the 'help' bit, but thought id best say hello...
so i got me an oscar!
to be honest, it wasnt my first choice...! Picked up a tank that was in use, which came with a BIGGG plec (i called him Barry. dont know why, it just sorta suited him) I wanted to get some piranha's into it, but the plec grew on me and was such a character, i didnt want to take the risk! So in went some convicts, and then a tiger oscar.
unfortunately, the cons bred quite prolificly, dirty buggers! anyways, i'm slowly reducing the convict numbers and the females, so i should be left with 5 male cons, 1 oscar and a fook off big plec.
I'll be happy when it comes down to this, as im sure Trevor (oscar) will be much happier too.
heres trevor having some food... he's much bigger now, this vid was about 2 months ago

Welcome to OFL!
I love Barry, very healthy looking monster.
I think you need to take the food out of the bag before you put it in the tank!
Just pulling your leg..
Now what is that floating device you use for the food?

that floating device is a small net... there was 2 cubes of frozen bloodworm defrosting in it... if i drop the cubes straight into the tank, Trevor swallows them whole... so i let them defrost in the net first before putting it in...
