Hey just signed up to the website, great and easy too understand. I recently was given 3 tiger oscars for free due to the pet shop closing. I have a 120L tank with 2 fluval 4 filters and plenty of airstones at opposite end. The fish are 0nly 2 inches and are very active, eating plenty aswell. I know the tank is too small. Though I am trying to get a new tank when I move in about 3 months time. Am carrying out 50% water changes weekly, The water is clear, pH is 6.9, nitrate are low and ammonia. Would this be ok? for a short term measure? I have 2 4inch clown loaches aswell. thanks for any advice.

If you are definitely getting a bigger tank in three months then I think you should be okay as long as you carry out regular tank maintenance. Check the filtration every couple of weeks as well, you might find this gets dirty very quickly. However, if you do need to rinse out the sponges, make sure you do it in existing tank water and not under tap water.

Just remember the Oscars grow very quickly, in three months time they could be between five and 6 inches, put together, too big for your tank.
