Hello!

Me and my partner have been glued to this site for the past few days. We've watched the videos of the ever growning Oscars and were amazed by them!

We have recently purchased our own Tiger Oscars (One albino and the other Red). Big mistake but we put these oscars in with a school of neons....really bad mistake!

We knew the neons wouldnt last long, but as we woke up this morning, we found there were no neons left.

They are currently swimming in a 95 litre tank at the moment with 3 Angel Fish. The oscars seem fine with them, but we're just a bit worried at the moment, wondering if we should put the Angels in the other tank we have.

I would say the Oscars are about 2-3 inches in size and they dont stop eating!

Since we have had the Oscars, we've noticed that if the albino swims close to the other oscar, it vibrates! It's really funny!

The oscars should be ok with them for now but 90 litres for two oscars is way to small for helthy oscars to grow to there adult size healthy, there gonna need atleast 75 gallon, more in my opinion.2 oscars in a 100 imp gallon tank with a couple tankmates will be fine, but i do think they will start to give your angels a battering soon you're o's grow very fast it's not uncommon for these guys to grow 7 inch in the first 6 months of life.Im sure more experienced keepers can help you more, but oscars can be very entertaining good luck

yr o's should be ok for a few months but as they grow quicker u will hv 2 invest in a much bigger tank one oscar requires a min of 250 liters to be happy.
DONT BUY ON IMPULSE DO SUM HOMEWORK FIRST

Hey, welcome aboard Katie and Anthony!

Oscars make great pet fish, bet they will grow to you.
Bit sorry for the neons, guess you wouldn't try that another time

About tanks size, what the others said, I'd be looking into something like 500 litres in the long run, 400 minimum.

Not sure about the angels, I had one in my Oscar tank once and that only worked because my Oscar is really placid, it was very stressed though. In the case of any aggression from the Oscars' side I wouldn't put a cent on them, they have neither the body mass nor the speed to cope with Oscars. But maybe it works for you, just probably not in a small tank for long.
If I were a guy, I\'d have probably needed only 30% of the amount of words to say this

Hiya!

Thanks so much for all your help, I'll be posting a pic of our tank and the set-up on the site soon.

I love these fish, I really do, my grandma used to have about 6 of these years ago and she loved them too (think they run in the family ha ha)

Happy New Year by the way
