Hello,
I have been keeping cichlids for about 10 years. My first Cichlid was an Oscar. I bought a 3 inch Oscar for my 10 gallon aquarium then began researching this new interesting fish. It only took minutes before I realized I needed a bigger tank for my new pet; One week later I bought a 60 gallon for him. From the start I was amazed at this fish that seemed to interact with me unlike any guppy or goldfish ever had.
Since then I have kept many different fish, mostly all cichlids and catfish. To name a couple of my favorites: Arrowana to 18inches, Flowerhorn to 8 inches, ofcourse a few Oscars off and on in different settings. 3 years ago, Before I moved to Oregon I lived in California and had a Red Devil fish for about 4 years by himself (ofcourse,

lol; cuz they can be VERY territorial) in a 60 gallon aquarium. He got like a foot long with a huge hump on his head and had a great personality, not afraid of humans at all. This was one of my favorite fish I had...... But along the way I always wanted to have an Oscar again, so a few days ago I went and got a new 3inch Red Oscar; just like the first one I got that got to be about a foot long. And here I am on Oscarfishlover.com. ...and here is a pic of the new little guy:
Cheers!
