TOPIC: Noob

Noob 2 years ago #96788

Greetings! I recently stumbled across a 30 gallon aquarium kit for very cheap, and I look forward to housing my first baby oscar very soon. I fell in love with them after I saw my coworker's while we shopped for feeders for him. I'm not exactly sure what other info you need, but thanks for having me!

Welcome to our community

I am going to coin a phrase from a very famous Steven Spielberg film, well almost anyway

"you're gonna need a bigger tank"

Joking aside, you will need to upgrade as 30 gallons is not big enough for one adult oscar. Just something for you to ponder over

Welcome to OFL

As OFL says you need a bigger tank

Have a look round on the home page at the various articles which will give you a good understanding of keeping oscar. They are not as easy to keep as goldfish.

Any questions then post away

welcome - and there are lots of lovely fish you can house in a 30 gallon - unfortunately an Oscar isn't one of them:(

welcome on board.
just a simple warning! this hobby is very addicting; once you fall
in love with an oscar, you will never get out of it; and that 30 gal
tank will soon be 55 or bigger
