Just curious as to whether or not any of you remove your oscar's poo in between water changes.

I do a small 10-25% water change once a week, but my oscars poo quite a bit. I usually will siphon it out of the tank once or twice between water changes.

Does anyone else do this?

Even though the filters remove solid waste, they sometimes are not powerful enough to suck up large debris which will settle in the tank. When you carry out your water change, use a gravel vac to remove as much crap as you can. if you haven't got adequate filtration, the build up of debris could lead to polluted water

When i do my weekly 50% waterchange, it's allways combined with vacuuming the gravel.
I use a soda bottle with the bottom cut off and attach the bottleneck to the hose.
This way the gravel will be spotless for another week.
But i think my silver dollars do eat any oscar poo, for i hardly ever see any oscar poo.
Pleco poo only...which is more than enough.

you're welcome.
I do have a Eheim gravelvac but nothing beats the old soda bottle.
You just have to find out what size of bottle to use and how far you cut off the bottom to get the best result.
It has to make the gravel swirl and the poo extracted without the gravel getting sucked out as well.
1/2 liter bottle works best for me.
I started with the bottle because i was fed up with moving the rocks everytime i cleaned the gravel, plus i used to stir up a lot of mess without catching it and made my tank look like a "Snowglobe".
nowadays after a waterchange the tank looks clean right away!

Well, the thing is, I have white sand. Each little oscar turd is therefore quite obvious. If I had gravel, I don't think once a week would be a big deal at all, but a big oscar turd sitting in otherwise pristine white sand is hard to miss. Yuck!

If you think an Oscar turd is a blot on the landscape, you should see what comes out of a large plec, it looks like a family of Anaconda have moved into your tank

I fed mine some meal worms the other day, and rather than normal oscar poo, there was what looked like an undigested meal worm protruding from one of them. I love my oscars, but their shit really grosses me out.

and if you're not that crafty (like me) you can buy either a battery opperated vaccum or a plastic tube sifon/pump from your fish shop
