Well what i feared has happened, my baby oscar has died, so im starting over, new substrate, cleaning everything like its a new tank. Any suggestions or tips will be greatly apprieciated.

Sorry to hear that.
Lost one myself just recently and I found it to be very different than losing any of the other fish that Ive had that happened to die. They grow on you very quickly.

What substrate where you using before?

Im using just a regular black rock substrate

what i have found is colared substrate which is dyed actualy comes off after a long time i have blue rock substrate and alot of it is white now it dosent seem to effect the health of the fish but it sure as hell dosent look too natural

Seeing as this was posted one and a half day ago you will have to recycle your filter. So buy 3 or 4 small goldfish and dont clean your filter until your tank is cycled. Please read the section on cycling on the homepage. DONT buy another oscar until your tank is cycled!!!

Yeaim just letting the tank run, im going to be busy for the next 2 weeks or so, so im just going to let the tank run. Im definetly not going to buy another fish till i find out wth happened to my other one o.O kind of confuses me, Did everything im supposed to and this still happens.

You need to have some fish in the tank to cycle it, thus the goldfish suggestion
