just a quick pic while i'm getting ready for work. sorry for the flash. [and for dirty glass!]

but here's a pic of Pitt. healthy as a horse:
he's grown AT LEAST an inch since i bought him last week! i swear!

he's a whopping 2.5 inches!!
and here's a cool affect the high window plays on his tank at the end of the day:
if i may say though. he's one bad*ss fish! last night i boiled peas to give to my goldies and decided to try to give one to him. he got so excited he flashed around the tank and managed to gash the side of his head on the intake filter.

but he's okay!
so anyway. i had a question. i'm interested in eventually getting a fire eel to house with him. of course with a tank upgrade somewhere around next year. but am wondering how much gallonage i would need. there's varying info on the net. some sites say eels on their own need 5o-75 gallons. will a 1oo gallon suffice with twice weekly water changes and proper hiding places?
anyone on here happen to have an eel?
thanks very much!!
p.s. i have now witnessed the truly awesome and mighty power of the turkey baster for quick cleanups! [no one told me black sand and neon pink poop would not go well together!!]
