im going to be moving the end of this month
my plan was to by a 30 gallon trash can fill it up 3/4 of the way and throw the fish in there with bubbler running with a power converter you plug into cig lighter in car
was thinking of having FX5 running on trash can also to keep BB alive but i think it might be to much
was also thinking of throwing all BB in seperate trash can with bubbler running on it also
idk what to do
i no not to feed the fish for 3-4 days before the move
its only a 8 hour drive
i no ppl have had the power cut off for like 5 hours and the bb made it threw ok and didnt have to re cycle
so was thinnking having the BB in a trash can filled with tank water and bubbler going
it would be fine

I hate moving tanks any distance...

The last time I moved I put the fish in the big Rubbermaid trash cans, and used the power inverter just as you said... But I DID keep my FX5 running... I just turned the flow down. you know only half open valves...

It worked like a charm...

you think if i throw the BB in a sep container and throw an air bubbler in there that the BB could stay alive
instead of having to run the FX5 with the fish?

well what im thinking is that they probly ship these fish all around the world idk wtf a BB is but eather way same concept for all fish but i would have a much lower filter going not a FX5 and id have an air stone in there which you can order them running on battery ive seen but being in a big container id be afraid id hit a pot hole or sharp turn and injure my fish good thing i dont have to move...........oh shit college lol

I suppo se that was the reduce the flow???
For using half open valves will cause your filter to use more electrical current,IMO.

do you guys think keeping a bubbler in a bucket of tank water will keep the BB alive?
Or should I try to run the filter which I don't really wana do cause I think the fish will survive a 8 hour drive with maybe a couple power water changes in between!

The fish will be fine being transported in a large container for a few hours but you also need to keep the BB alive or you will have an unclycled tank when you set it up. Best way to keep the BB alive is to have the filter connected to a container with fish in it!!!!

You need an air pump with stone to keep oxygen levels up! An alternative is to have a power head with the output rippling the surface. A rippled surface is a larger surface area than a still one, the larger surface area allows more oxygen into the water faster.

here is my idea on how to go about it:

if you have big ice chest, use it... fill it with water and put some
air bubblers... put the fish in it and you will be fine.... the advantage
of an ice chest, you could maintain the temp constant for longer period
of time.... plus it is sturdy against breaking....

2nd, when you unplug the fx5, plug the both end to keep the water inside.
bb can survive for more than 6 hours without running water.... but the shaking
will serves as aeration and can prolong bb's life.

3rd, if you are bringing the main tank with you, set it up immediately,
and put water on it.... half filled and run the fx5 in it without altering
anything.... then put the fish in it.

4th (optional) putting some substrate in a bucket with tank water can prolong
bb's life too... it can help keeping more bb alive...

good luck...
