I been wondering if you kept 4 or more O`s together, would the chance of them getting along be better than trying two.?
Or would it end up being 1, or 2, par off and all hell brake loss...
Am liven a fantasy anit I.

I dont see any need to buy four really. There would be more chance of aggression. I think two from the same tank at the LFS get along fine as long as they grow at the same rate and provided you have a large enough Tank.

Thank you.
Was more of a thought than anything else, sorry I didn`t state that.
My tank is stocked...But its a 660l with two fx5`s.
1, O
1, JD
1, Angel
3, Sajica's
4, Sae`s
1, Pleco
7, CL`s.
But would be nice to have two O`s that would get along...
What`s why was thinking might have better chance with 4.
No my other tank is to small for O`s.
Would have to sale or give the other`s away, half the reason why I won`t chance it.
OK was Editing when you posted Delboy.
That`s what I was afraid of..
Thank you for posting.

If you get 4 oscars, the chances of getting a pair is very high. Then you will have trouble, the breeding pair wont be happy with the other oscars in the tank and the others wont like being bullied and pushed to one end of the tank. Also the chance of getting 2 males who hate each other is very high too. Dont get 4 oscar stick with 2, even then you can have trouble if you have 2 males who dont like each other

my LFS offered me the option to take 5 baby O's and return 3 after a couple had established, but i only wanted one at that time so i didn't take the offer.
But i wanted a tiger so bad, that when i ran into a sizeable tankmate for my red,one and a half years later, i took the tiger home, and was very lucky, for they seem to have paired off.
Not laying eggs, yet ,but living together without fighting.
Lucky me!

From my experience, if you've got a big tank, 4 o's can live together perfectly okay. Yes, there is more chance you will get a pair, but successful breeding will probably be difficult because there's too much disturbance going on when you have more than just the two Oscars. Oscars do not like a lot of disturbance when they are breeding.
