Is not something that I have ever given my fish. However, I know some people to give their fish fruit and vegetables. I can't see why it would do them any harm. I suppose in the wild they may feed on fruits that drops into the water, but I'm not absolutely certain about that. There are various fish that feed on fruits, probably the most well known fish is the Pacu, but this is equipped with special teeth to feed on different types of fruit.

You could try feeding on pieces of banana and see if they like it. You may find that they don't like it, if they have been fed on pellets for a long time they may just spit it out, but give it a try.

Peas
Corn
Carrots (cooked)
Broccoli
Apples
Grapes
Banana
Pineapple
Mango
Shrimp
Worms
Water Chestnuts
All of these I have fed to my Oscars and they have eaten... Most of them they like, grapes not so much... But they eat the rest of it.. I stay away from things that are full of Starch, things that will make people gassy, and things like Tomatoes and Oranges as they are full of Acid..

Hope this helps

Your Welcome.

Just keep in mind that an Oscars staple diet needs to be a quality pellet. Such as Hakari Gold... The rest of this should be given as an occasional treat!

Some oscars will eat veg/fruit whereas others will flatly refuse so dont worry if your oscars wont eat them.

Tried my O's on grape today.
They chewed on it a bit, than spat it out.
They do like peas and carrots though.
