i was wondering if oscars or any chiclid can eat spiders? does it matter if its poisonous too?

i am not sure about those tarantulas but normal spiders can be..
lizards can take spiders and my oscar grab a lizards that accidentally
fall in my tank.... the oscar remains healthy until now...LOL

my son grabs those spiders in my garden and drop them in the tank,
tilapia munch them in seconds.... and they (TILAPIA) are still alive today

thanks but i got a hairy spider that maybe 1.5 inches big around. i think its poisonous but would u think its ok to feed it?

i am not sure but if you can imagine that they had a chance of falling down
in water in the amazon, and fishes will try to grab them... then you can try

however, having taking care of the fish and attached to it, i will not take the
risk

seriously, normal non poisionous spiders will be fine to feed to oscars, however i wouldnt risk the poisonous sort

Yeah I wouldn't feed anything that conceivably could be poisonous before researching it thoroughly first.

You get to choose what your oscar eats, and the list of things you can feed them is endless, so if i doubt any food i'd rather not feed it to my o's.
