So, I just switched my Oscars from Hikari Cichlid Gold + Feeders twice a week, to Hikari Massivore + feeders twice a week.

Anyone care to share their experience with Hikari Massivore? So far, the only downside I have is that it's sinking food. Not too big of an issue, but they have never eaten sinking food before so it takes them a while to pick up on it.

Will my Oscars continue to grow on Massivore? Let me know what you guys think.

Also, is there anything I should know about Massivore as opposed to normal Hikari Cichlid pellets? I was told you shouldn't feed them more than once a day because Massivore has so much nutrients packed into it. Let me know, I trust you guys more than the package. Ha ha.

I use Hikari Gold daily, and feeders every 2 weeks, unless Im doing something dramatic that may cause sulking. There are still 5 feeders in there from over a week ago that have survived two guppie massacres. He just wont go after them...

I was hand-feeding a piece of dog food daily for a minute until I found out how bad it was. I still do it, but not nearly has often. I need something bigger that he'll eat that isnt bad for him. I dont want to feed them crickets because I dont want them hopping out and Im not going to cut off their legs either.

I have always fed Hikari Cichlid foods with great results, but I would avoid
feeders..dirty little things.

Try feeding the gold with the massivore for awhile. if you still have it.... one peice of gold and then a peice of the massivore to see if you can switch him over.

You should be feeding a varied diet to your oscar so these massive delight can be part of that.

To get them eating them only feed the massive delight for a week. Hunger will force them to eat it and they will get used to it, they will soon be gobbling it up like hikari pellets. Remember to remove any uneaten food.

massivore is my O's favorite food (although I feed them 4-5 other commercial foods in addition..... variety is the key; like already mentioned). My O's have flourished on it. It contains canthaxanthin (found in krill) that brings out the red coloration.

I think one of the reasons my O's are so red because of massivore delight
