there an instructional video somewhere at the site, but where???

I netted my oscars when i got them into the tank, and a big enough net, covering the fish with my hand so it wouldn't jump out.
Worked fine for me.

I prefer a large clear plastic bag. put it in the tank, fill it with tank water and wait/encourage the fish to swim in. no netting or damage to fish. make sure the bags very strong. water is heavy and the large oscars fins can damage thin bags.

I don't like nets at all unless you have a large open ended net that can catch the fish, then rap it(close the ends, twist) as ofl does in his video. I have not seen a net like sale so you may have to make your own.

I did what Noddy described when I moved my Oscars from one tank to another (and gently held the bottom of the net so the fish was supported)- the tanks were about 10-15 apart from each other.... the method may not work if you have to transport a long distance

Me and a friend had to move 2 of his oscars in to a different tank one day. Just use a nice size net that the oscar can flap around in and wont fall out and just try and get him quick. when we were trying to catch my friends second oscar it was really hard cause it had seen the over get taken out so it was really scared. its really sad to watch them swim as fast as they can from the net and still get caught. might of been easier if a fish could know that the were getting upgraded to a bigger tank:)
