Nutrafin Max or Hikari

I think it's difficult to say what is best, I have always used Hikari and my Oscars love them.

or the two you listed i would have to agree with the rest and say hikari is probably superior.
however there are a few other types that are also top quality like new life spectrum and omega one.......

Hikari for my fish.
But i haven't tried the other brand.
and i don't feel the need, for they love the Hikari.

No, it's just good food.

I had my plecos refuse any algae wafers, and i tried a lot of brands.
After introducing Hikari wafers, my plecos started to feed on those like crazy.
i think they add some taste enhancing ingredients, that tempt them very much.
Strange thing is, they accepted any brand of algaewafers after they began liking the Hikari wafers and will eat any other brands as wel nowadays.
Odd, but true.

I feed my Os almost exclusively Hikari - a variety; massivore delight, cichlid staple, cichlid gold. They eagerly eat all of them.

I use the Hikari Bio-Gold and Gold. Pretty much a negligible difference, both good staples.

I've found that as long as I offer them in small quantities at least once a day he never 'tires' of them...which is great. I usually do the pellets in the morning when he is 'hungrier,' increasing the likelihood he'll accept them on a regular basis. I'm always of the opinion that if you underfeed a tad as opposed to overfeed you very seldom have to deal with an oscar going 'off' his pellets.
