im getting a new tank this sunday! however, i will have to temporarily put my oscar in a ten gallon tank. he is 4 inches max and he will only be in the ten gallon until sunday. if i move the filter and some water from his tank to fill the ten gallon will it be good to go?

Just keep an eye on your water readings Hun... it may require a few extra water changes... How big is the new tank?

you will get away with it for a short while. Move him to the 10g the night before and dont feed him until moving him to the new tank.

however cant you get the new tank, strip down the old tank (put the oscar into a container), and then straight away set up the new tank
