I was at Petco today picking up some supplies. I do my normal walk through of the fish, checking out what is there that day. For those who don't know about or go to petco (I have to because the only fish store in town closed down), they have different weekly specials on fish. You may find the occasional JD for 2.50 or something like that. But I look at the tiger Oscars and they have the bright yellow special sticker over their price... they are selling Tiger Oscars for $5.95 at 2.5"!!!

It is very difficult not to start the justification process for picking up additional Oscars. In the few seconds I thought about it, my mind starting thing of things like rescuing, rehoming, buying new tanks, etc. But in the end I moved onto my supply purchases and left all the wonderful TIger O's behind.

and if that wasn't enough, they were selling tanks at $1 per gallon. so a 55 gallon was $55! but again.... walked away.

Wow... You are a strong person! I am not sure I could have done it... Although I make the same cruse through the fish whenever possible...

yeah, it is all about the cruise through the fish section of any pet store Even if we know when we step through the doors that we don't need to consider buying any more fish.

i am going to my Petco on tusday. i hope that they are still running that deal. i might have to get me another 55 gallon or at least another 30 gallon. i need a new one for my sons room. his started leaking and we took it down and he wants a new one so bad. thanks for the heads up..
