My first ever oscar Has a bulldog like face and I always thought it was normal till 2 years later when I bought 2 new ones and then another year later when I bought another 2 and they ALL have rounded beak like faces, what's going on with my big one?!?!

maybe it is included in the shrinking head specie....wherein the
upper lip is becoming shorter as they grow....
any picture?????

mister admin can i ask for a advice i realy like to have a oscar and ihave already read all the information about it. i already have a 50 gallon tank right now but. im planning to have a built in sump filter cause as i have read its the best filter and cheaperbut i want to ask is..

I'm so new to this site that I haven't worked out the picture side of things, but until I do I'll describe is as, he just looks like he's run into a wall, haha?

i have no idea how to put a photo in the thread but my profile picture is him, notice how he has all smooth scales, and his fins are completly intact so he is a healthy fish, hes just had a bulldog face his whole life?

Completely normal face. As a matter of fact I find the more 'bulldogish' the face the more aesthetically pleasing (in dogs and fish...mind you lol anything else tends to depend exponentially on the amount of J & B on the rocks)

Really? That's pleasing, his the only one out of the 5 that iv had since he was as big as my fingernail, his 45 cms now!!!! But he is defiantly got a face only a mother could love
