i am worried about my baby oscar. When i got up this morning he is missing some of his tail and fin. Im not to sure what was the cause is, im thinking maybe it was the crayfish in his tank so i am taking them out. I was just wondering if he will be ok and if his tail and fins will grow back

if the tail base is still intact, yes, it will grow back...
but you must have good water condition since it is considered
an injury... an injured fish is very susceptible to illnesses

Oscars are very quick healers
just make sure yur water is in perfect condition
and keep them crayfish out =]

Firstly, welcome to our community. Okay, I think you would be wise to take out the crayfish. You're always going to run the risk of injury if you have creatures that have nippers. Fish do have to sleep so these crustaceans can creep up on them when they are sleeping.

Can you post a photograph please? As long as the tail root hasn't been severely damaged, everything should grow back normally.

My crayfish snipped one of my oscars... he went after them in the middle of the night. Was scared he'd kill them so we took him out the tank
