i haven't had any chance to get footage of my fries before but i had one
that i reared from pin size to spawning: that is my survivor.... one member
that crosses my mind is shryn.... she had from egg laying to hatching and now
on its 4th week i think... if she can raised one to adulthood, perhaps she can
share it to all of us...

Most people have probably never heard of an Oscar fish, everybody has heard of a lion or a tiger. A television production isn't going to dedicate a whole program to a fish that nobody has ever heard of, or has not got much interest in.

However, if you check the documentary Channel on Sky then you will often see programs relating to the Amazon River. There have been quite a few recently, sadly I didn't see one single Oscar in any of these programs.

When you think about it, there are thousands upon thousands of different species of fish living in the Amazon region, a lot of them are much more well-known than the Oscar.

Probably the Pirahna & Arapaina are two of the more well-known fish living in the Amazon region, that's why there have been a few programs dedicated to these fish. When you think about it, there was a lot of mystique attached to these fish, it's very easy to make a program about them.

I think Jeremy Wade concentrates on bigger fish than Oscars, did you see his series called Jungle Hooks? The one where he was fishing for the Arapaina. I really like Jeremy, he is a no nonsense guy who just gets on with things and presents a really good fishing program. He has recently done another program called River Monsters, I particularly like the ones where he was in the Amazon.

I don't know if you've heard of Robson Green, if it wasn't for his stupid antics, I would have enjoyed his program a hell of a lot more.

Robson green was never supposed to be a serious fishing program. Iv thoroughly enjoyed every episode. .
The fresh water giant stingray was particularly amazing.
