Snow is maturing, and black color is starting to appear in between his scales!

Has anyone else seen this in their "albino"?

Oscars will slowly develop their adult colours as they mature so I wouldn't worry about it

Le sigh. I was kinda thinking that might be it. His white is also turning more light lemon/yellow.

He is turning into a beautiful oscar. Tail is spray painted with red dots not (was pure white before), some black, and lemon/yellow colored stripes.

He is also as active as ever!

I love my Os

The boss is right, nothing to worry about.

just wait and be amazed.

Here is a video. When Snow gets under the lights "well" you can see how I may have to change his name to lemon drop. You can also see the bottom 1/2 of his tail (exactly 1/2) is completely peppered with red now too.

I am definitely looking forward to the final maturation color.

this is normal for some albinos. Its would be nice if they all stayed white but some get some dark in them. Some albino have it quite bad, to the point where they look dirty. One of mine developed this dirty look when young, and as it has grown the black has been less noticeably but its still there.

Oscars change colour as they grow and you just have to accept it.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Snow (Lemondrop ) whatever his/her name ends up being. Still the same baby I brought home from the LFS

I was just sharing my color changing story.

Ash has also gotten a lot more red. Used to be majority red with a good proportion of black, but now by far red, with very little black left.

I love them!

You nailed it on the head delboy!

I looked at him again just now, and at the inside edge of all his fins and they are turning black, and it looks like he is etched out of dirt now!
