That just looks like a juvenile Tiger Oscar that hasn't gotten it's color yet to me.

I could be wrong though.

sometimes when you go to a LFS they have baby tiger oscars with the the red colour in them already and sometimes (rarer) they look like yours. Your fish will more than likely turn out to be a tiger

A few years ago i bought a fish that looked liked yours and it was labelled wild oscars. well it grew and coloured up and ended up as a tiger oscar. I think i was conned by the LFS, if they knew their stuff (not always the case) they would of known they would end up as a tiger

Post a pic as he grows so we can see how its colour changes
I can't get no sleep

Like all things in life, there is no set formula as to when certain things should happen and when they shouldn't.

Just because you have a baby tiger that is smaller and has color, doesn't mean this one should have color by that size. It's all genetics. Give it time, I'm sure he'll color and be a red or tiger. Hell, he may even turn out to be a Wild Oscar (get ready for some serious aggression). A zebra Oscar, though? Sounds like an LFS is working some sort of scam, or it's a dyed fish. Which I hope isn't the case.
