So i know that its not good to feed your Oscar store bought feeder fish, because they could be harboring parasites and diseases. But i was thinking does anyone...i guess you could say grow your own feeder fish?
I think it would save money in the long run. What you people think??
Im open to ideas

I would again, avoid it. I think in some cases people try and convince themselves it is cost effective and/or necessary, but in reality, they just want to see the oscar eat feeders. Do what thou wilt. But it won't save money in the long run since you are going to have to pay to setup and maintain the feeder tank....and, if you use them as you
should, very, very rarely, then you are
still going to have to buy the same staple foods and other variations
anyways...so it's not really going to save money from food purchases, except you won't be buying feeders from the store, which you shouldn't be doing anyway. I can't see how a small bit of seafood at the grocery story or crickets/mealworms would be more expensive than the cost of maintaining a tank...even a smallish one.
If I wanted to maintain live stock I might consider worms or mealworms first.
