Hi guys im new here!, does anyone knows how much does the yellow looking oscars usually cost? the small ones, thanks!

Hello and welcome! OMG is that your Betta (we call them Siamese fighting fish here in Aus)..the blue and white one..it is MAGNIFICENT. I see from your profile that you are from the US so I will leave it to the others to tell you what O's sell for. In Australia little ones will set you back about $18 AU...but if you were on the gold coast in queensland you could have a few for free..I have a few too many babies...700 too many. This site will tell you all you need to know about Oscars - different to Bettas - need tons more space!!! Make sure you read up on all you will need to know before you buy one. It could end up being a pet for as long as a dog, so ensure it will have a good home. Cheers, Shaz

welcome to the site. I think that a lot of the yellow ones may by dyed (not sure on this though). If that is the case i would advise against buying them.

My (nearly stark white) albino is gradually becoming more and more yellow/lemon colored every day. Not sure you can get a tiny one that color, but adult lemon oscars seem real. I definitely never dyed mine.

im from okla , broken arrow close right next to "tulsa" and all there is, is petsmart and petco not many LFS here , lol yeap it kinda sucks in okla, i lived here for 14 years! and im 14 but not born in okla though and yes i raise bettas lots and lots!!! i also breed them and all of them are from thailand , and yes shaz, the kind of breed that i raise is HMPK "halfmoon plakad". yeap i have raised oscars for 5 years and have never heard of the lemon oscars or you could say yellow one's lol dumb me!! where have i've been??? hahahahaha. right now i'm raising 2 oscars red and albino, baby 1's which they are in a 20gal seperate tho and will move up when they get to 5in i move them to 55gals and whenever they get over 8in i move them all together into my 300gals but i only keep the minimum of 6 oscars in 1 300gal the others goes into my other 300gal. and thanks!

Well ya a yellow oscar may be dyed but im not totaly sure of this bbut wouldnt advise on bying dyed fish in general.
