I just wanted to let you know I got my first tatoo yesterday and it stung for awhile. Yes, my oscar bit me
and it stung and I have the mark to prove it, about the size of the top of your pinkie, lol. We took a picture of it which I will show to my friends at the aquarium. This was a first for me.

i have my oscar for nearly 3 months but i still haven't tried to feed him with my hands, i may try it when he is more matured.he is 6" now.

Mine are about 3" and have had them about a month I think. One of the two will eat from my fingers, the other is still afraid. The way I see it is to get them used to it before they get to old. As the saying goes "You can't teach and old (river) dog new tricks! "

Oh! I didn't get bit on the finger. I got bit on my upper
arm almost near my shoulder while I was gravel vac. Sneaky lil fish.

Yesterday, I was in my local aquarium and I was checking out a albino oscar and I lifted the lid to check out his
reactions and he almost jumped out. He scared the heck out of me and I dropped the lid. Thank goodness it didn't break. Needless, to say he was a bit to agressive for my happy family and won't be coming home.

I did however buy a Balzini (sp) Geophagus (my second one purchased)first one gotten eaten by the oscar in hours and sad to say the one from last night is gone this morning.
So, the oscars love thier balzinis (sp). Oh! well another $10 meal for them ~ and no I'm not happy. He wasn't that small either.
