My flowerhorn and blood parrot are also females. What are the chances my 4 big fish are all females?

Especially when I didn't set out to do that?

This is my 400th POST!

I suppose you could of easily ended up with four males. Well, if you know anyone who has a male Oscar, then you could always swap

oh well, allways better than having an all male tank.
that would have been more trouble for you.
Females can get along as mates very well.
would you have liked to breed with your O's, then swapping could be a serious option...

The thought has crossed my mind

If I had a pair, I would have bought a proper nursery setup

The chance of getting 4 females are 1 in 16

At least you dont have 2 male oscars, then you would be in trouble. Keep looking for a male!!
I can't get no sleep

I had two females for years and then they started laying eggs. I just happened to be in this great aquarium supplies shop one day and told the guy there I was looking for a male but knew how hard it was to get the gender you want. He had an O the same size as mine who he knew to be male because he had been fertilizing eggs in the shop! His missus had been sold...so I got him and with a fortnight he was fertilizing eggs in my tank...and you know what happened after that! You will find your Daddy O, it just takes time...Shaz

Well good luck on having your oscar babies once you get the male/female thing worked out

Is it possible to have 2 male oscars live together and get along fine? Or are they more likely to fight constantly?

And will feamales fight for territory? Or if they are fighting for territory is that a good indicator that they would be males? (I know it is impossible to sex oscars physically)
