Anyone know what type of oscar this is? is it a weird or unique mix?

wow, that is a very unique looking Oscar you have there. Its like a red mixed with a lutino tiger. can you post a video with the fish in action. that would give us a better view.

where did you get it?

i got him/her at petsmart for 20$ i thought he looked like a new type so i got him and okay ill try to upload a video.

Just a shame you cannot judge what it'll look like in 2 years time, forthey tend to transform drastically over time.
Nevertheless it's a looker.

i don't think so, Oscars come in all shades and colours, and this may be a special fish, but to say it's a new breed, is a bit much.

the combining of different oscars results in odd colours and lately i saw a pink oscar, that was over the top.
the pink colour was strange, and it made the fish look very "not-oscar-like".
Keeping my fingers crossed yours keeps this colour!

I doubt petsmart would sell dyed fish n i personally,wouldnt by one so i doubt it's dyed . It's probably a unique mix

in my case, no, deffo not.
i know it's done, but i never came across dyed fish in my country.
plus the pink one was part of an adult breeding pair, so most dye would have come off, if i'm correct.

on vid it has most features of a lutino.
with the red eye of an albino.
