Long stringy poo is a sympton of internal parasites. To treat internal parasites just buy some meds to treat it. i have never had this problem so i cant help as much as maybe some others can
I can't get no sleep

That really doesn't look like parasites to me...

Has his diet changed at all? Have you fed him anything light in color???

his diet is brine shrimp, omega one pellets, the occasional feeder fish, and rarely bloodworms (those are mainly for the feeders). so im not sure what to do! i know meds arent good unless needed. but would it be bad to treat the tank with a parasite med? and if so what type?

I would ONLY feed pellets for a few days and see what happens... If he is ONLY eating colored pellets, and his poop is still white, then you can treat the tank... But I would check it out first...

IF you find you have to teat the tank, use Jungle Parasite Clear. Treat according to the package directions. I always took a pitcher of water out of the tank, and dissolved the tablets in the water, and then poor the treated water back into the tank...

Keep in mind, you will likely have to treat several times... I think I treated 4 times for my Africans...

I hope this helps.

the size of the pooh looks like a normal pooh to me... parasite
infected pooh is smaller stringy and almost transparent....

is your fish eating well??? if so, give him shrimp or peas and
observed... it will pooh differently...

well since feeding him pellets even though its only been one day his poo has gone back to normal. so far so good. when will it be safe to say he is parasite free?

This shows there is no parasite. If he was ONLY eating pellets, and his poop was still white, THEN you would have a problem..

But as his poop went back to normal, it means whatever he had eaten had turned his poop white...

Nothing to worry about Hun!
