He is growing so fast and I don't want to starve him. I have been feeding him 3 small pellets in the morning and three at night. He has gained about 3/4 in 2 weeks. Growth in length and depth. Any guidelines? Thanks!

I think you should be feeding him a little bit more than that. If I was you, I would time yourself and give him as much as he will eat in 3 min, do this three times a day until he is at least 4 inches. If he is very small, you could feed him until his belly become slightly distended, i.e. a little bit swollen.

i fed pellets/ciclid sticks in the morning and a good meal of bloodworms in the evening.
That should help him put on some weight quicker!

i feed pellets and sticks. about as much as they can eat in a couple minutes, twice per day. and they can eat a lot in 2 minutes.

i used to feed 3 times aday, about 6 pellets morning, a bit of fruit at lunch time and the evening one block of bloodworms or prawns or mealworms, x
