How good is the nutritional value of crickets when they have been gut loaded? Would this be healthy for the fish?

Since insects are the main source of food for many creatures in the wild, they must contain quite a lot of nutritional value. As for how much nutritional value, I have absolutely no idea. However, in the wilds, this type of food is a staple diet for many fish.

Let's put it this way, Bear Grylls is for ever harping on about how much nutritional value these large grubs have that he likes shovelling in his gob, they turn into insects.

X2 mine could probably tackle some small ones but id like to wait till they are a bit bigger before I move on to crickets.

i do believe that crickets has a high nutritional value in it... when our
people were hit by famine due to swarm of locust... people survive by taking
whatever amount of crickets/locust they could get in the field.... however,
even after that famine... it is now normal for them to take some from the farm
for normal daily consumption....
