hi guys, well i got up this morning and put my fishtank lights on, only to find ozzy laying on his side at the top of the tank, not moving, the current moved him, he didnt look right, then he started to move very slowly, letting the current push him backwards accross the tank, this went on for a full minute, then he started moving around more and more, 5 minutes later he is doing his normal thing and had a good breakfast, do you think i caught him sleeping, lol it was strange, xxxx

could be you caught him sleeping, but i'd keep a close look at him for floating sideways is not very common.better to see if does this on a regular basis, or that it was a one time thing.
Our fish don't grow too big, our tank becomes too small!

While fish dont sleep as such, they do go into a kind of daze when the lights are out and take a few minutes to come around. This is the best time to catch a cunning fish when the light first goes on before it realizes that there is a net in hot pursuit!
That said, I have never observed them floating, unless they have passed over to the other side.SOB
