Matt, I am pleased to see that everyone has resisted the temptation to say, "I told you so." Congratulations on finally stepping up to address the problem.

Your options seem limited. You certainly can't give your O to someone who has a 14 inch O in a 75 gallon tank.

Good luck.

Perhaps you have learned to RESEARCH this time before you buy.

Can you partition the tank? Or get a small tank to house the non-oscar fish? I'm not sure what size tank you are working with now. I've learned years ago that every tank has a certain amount of fish you can put and that's it. I have a 125 and after 15 there was always problems. : ) I have 10 or 12 now and they are the same 10 or 12 for the past 3 or 4 years. : )

matt... the 50 gallon and 55 gallon have different dimensions. One is 3 feet long and one is 4 feet. What are the dimensions of your tank??
I have no idea why the water bill is so high

So 5 gallons less doesn't make a difference? How about 10 gallons less? 20 gallons less? 40 gallons less? How much DOES make a difference to you, Matt?

I would say ten is where it starts to make a difference also i have a 50 gallon and the deimensionars are like 36 length and 16 wide height is i dnt no its the same height as most 55's. Also my uncle used to have a 75 tank with like four oscars before there was internet and he never had problems, ever till they died of old age. And when i told him about what everyone else said he was shocked.
