I have 2 Oscars in a tank, 210 gallon, with assorted fish, and mollies. The mollies were there first, the Oscars were gotten for population control in that tank, & because we've had them before, & like them
These 2 appear strange. They are both between 4" & 5" long. They will eat fish (mollies) as long as the fish are taken from another tank & hand fed to them. In the tank with them are juvenile mollies that are smaller than what they are fed. They haven't taken them. They will take infants, but haven't started on the juveniles unless they come from someone's hand.
Has anyone ran across a situation like this before? I really don't want to try to catch all these mollies in the 210, because as everyone knows, they are FAST, & the tank is 7 feet long. They have plenty of running room. Roscoe & Boscoe always come to the side of the tank when someone comes into the room, begging for fish, but there are fish there for them to take.
I do not understand this, at all.
Help!
