i got my oscar from one of my dads friend who didnt take very good care of it. i started feeding him feeder fish alot and his old owner ever gave him any. I havent gave him any in a week or two bcause i didnt have any money. i think he is made because when the lights are on he goes to a corner of the tank and lays on his side.but as sone as you turn off the lights he acts normaly its so funny.

he loves going to his bubble strip and laying on his side and leting the bubbles make hime float to the surface

Good luck with your oscars. Oscar are great

If you are going to feed feeder fish to oscars make sure you quarantee them for a couple weeks to make sure they have no diseases, you dont want your oscar to catch anything from the feeders

Your oscar will soon get used to the lights being on
I can't get no sleep

I know some fish have issues with the lights if they arn't used to them. I had some african yellow's that i thought were going to bust through the light hood when i turned the light on, they are a little on the crazy side anyways.
Just make sure they have enough cover or a or a shady area they can retreat to till they get used to the lights.
