I have 3 different oscars all different ages,I have 3 different tanks,2 29gal and a 10gal,1 of the 29gal tanks has some misc.fish in in it(guarumis mostly)the other 29gal has my biggest one and middle ones in in,the yougest one'Ernie'i had in the tank with the misc.fish for a while til he got alil bigger to put him in the 10gal(at the time had'Burt',the middle one in it)one day i went to go feed Ernie and he got so excited and jumped out of the tank onto the floor,freaked me out,i finally was able to catch him to put him in the 10gal tank all by himeself,well he survided.Is this normal behavior for a young oscar?

Well before you get the lecture about needing a bigger tank from everyone else on here.

I am gonna say to get a cover for your tanks. I have had all kinds of different fish go airborn. My oscars jump for their pellets if that tells you how flight worthy these fish can be.

I have a lid,it was when i opened the lid that he jumped for the food.It was kinda funny,it wouldnt have been if he didnt make it.
