Hey again,
I have to oscars and they are about 2 inches in size difference. When i am feeding my fish the bigger one tends to hog all the food. I feed brine shrimp most of the time, is there any techniques in feeding to make sure both fish get an equal amount?

Also this is off topic but my tiger oscar is beautiful but he has one little faded/no colored patch on his middle back. Will this turn normal color?

when you put the food in, spread it across the surface so that the food is falling down in a wide area, the greedy Oscar can't be in More than one place at a time. I would also suggest put three or four pellets in at a time and then both fish should get a feed.

As for the colour changing in one of the fish, difficult to say just from your description. Maybe Oscars always a different colour to what they would be as adults. Just keep an eye on this patch am see if it changes colour again. You could always take a photo and post it, it may not be easy to get a decent photo but try if you can

you could also try feeding both a floating and sinking food at the same time. this would also allow for both fish to feed at the same time.
as a side note you should feed a quality pellet as a staple for your oscars diet. they contain all the necessary nutrients and vitamins your oscar need for healthy growth.
Warning..I will offend you at some point!!!

It will end up costing you a fortune to feed brine shrimp, also unless the shrimp are large your oscars will ignore the shrimp as not worth the effort. Also a varied diet is best as fish can become hooked on one type and not eat any other sort, and then become bored with the one they are hooked on

There are many different type of food to feed to oscars, pellets, maggots, worms, frozen prawns, lance fish, meal worms, any insects you can hold off and any small fish from the fishmongers

Scatter the food all over the tank so the smaller fish gets a chance to eat

When my O's were younger I would take a night crawler about as long as the oscar and drop it in - when the larger one would grab it it would hang out its mouth and it could not eat anymore then the smaller ones could eat worms - crickets - meal worms - pellets or anything else.

Oscar love worms. Its great fun to watch when you put a large worm in and one oscar grabs one end and another grabs the other
