Hi you all.
As some of you may allready know (OFL, marcus, necromancer...) I brought a younger 4" Tiguer Oscar -named Luna, last Saturday and placed him/her in a temporary home (a 29g bow) where Moon, a 6" Tiguer Oscar has been living for a few weeks now until their 120UKgal tank is ready.
I got really scared due to the aggressive-like behavior Moon displayed against Luna, so after an hour (maybe less) I decided to place Luna in a small -really small- quarantine tank. So I brought home something to split the 29g bow (translucent plastic used in ceiling lamps), prepared the piece, and moved the fish. But after reading over and over about not panicking when Oscars are getting acquainted (mispell? sorry, Englis is my second language) I decided to give Moon another try, it's been 2 hours, and so far, Moon and Luna are getting along -they even went hiding together inside a cave -ornamental driftwood. I am scared of leaving to office (I won't return until 9:30PM, it's 2:30PM as I write these lines). I turned the lights off, so I will croos my finguers in the hoping that these two get along and no harm is made. They are playing around, swimming up and down the current stream of the AquaClear 110!

Thank you for helping me live moments like this. I trust your experience and aim for the best.

I think it's up to your discretion whether you leave them alone. It's impossible for any of us to tell you that everything will be okay. obviously if they were still fighting, we would probably advise you to split them up, however, they don't seem to be fighting at the moment, why not give them a chance and see what happens? but like I said, it really is your shout.

You will never know an till you try. when you come back try to watch them without them seeing you. this will give you better a idea as to how they will be when you are not there. it would have been better to remove moon cos this would have made him less secure when you put him back. still give them more time and watch them, they should become friends. Fingers crossed.

When oscars fight (assuming a breeding pair are not involved) the weaker one will usually try to hide, if nowhere to hide it will lay on its side on the bottom. If the aggressive one continues to beat up the weaker one, this fish will end up with injuries, usually to its side. These injuries, although looking bad, will usually heal quite quickly once the fish are separated. Its no guarantee though and its your fish and its up to you whether to take the gamble. Good luck
